The organization was originally founded in 2010 as an art festival and has expanded to include multiple annual events and monthly workshops. “The Makers Collective name helps people understand that we are a lot bigger than a single event. We actually work year-round to support creative entrepreneurs here in Greenville, as well as on a regional and national level.” said Erin Godbey, Event Director.

The new logo draws inspiration from from various craft techniques like quilting, origami, and stained glass. Creative Director Lib Ramos explains, “We focus on the intersections that exist between craft, design, art, and entrepreneurship. This mark highlights and celebrates those overlaps.”

Indie Craft Parade will remain the name of the annual festival of handmade art that takes place each September.
