Bad Roads Tour to highlight Hampton Ave. Bridge

September 6, 2014

Tuesday, September 9, at 12:30 PM. ~

What: Members of the Citizens for a Better Greenville County will be showing Greenville residents and leaders some of the worst roads, intersections, and bridges in the county in an effort to further illustrate the need for infrastructure repair.

When: Tuesday, September 9, at 12:30 PM.

Where: Hampton Avenue in Greenville’s Southernside neighborhood, at the site of the former pedestrian bridge.

Who: Members of the Citizens for a Better Greenville and community leaders, including County Council member Xanthene Norris and State Representative Chandra Dillard.

Why: The pedestrian bridge project at Hampton Avenue is the second-highest priority project on the list of bridge improvements included in the November referendum. This project is one of many examples of how the November referendum provides an effective, local solution to our county’s most pressing infrastructure needs. Media are encouraged to attend.
