BJU Announces The Beginning Of Its 88th Academic Year

GREENVILLE, SC –  Bob Jones University will  begin its 88th academic year and its 68th year in Greenville with opening exercises and evangelistic services Sept. 1 and 2 in the Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium (FMA). Student registration and residence hall move-in begins Aug. 29 and continues through Aug. 31.

The opening exercise is an annual university-wide assembly celebrating the beginning of the academic year. The exercise includes a processional of all first year students and students new to BJU.

Approximately 2,800 students from all 50 states and over 40 countries will attend classes this year at BJU.

BJU President Steve Pettit will address students, faculty and staff for the opening exercises and evangelistic services. This will be Pettit’s first class to welcome to campus since becoming president May 10.

The opening exercises and evangelistic services are open to the public. The services are held each night at 7 in the FMA.

Classes begin Wed., Sept. 3 at 8 a.m.
