Black Belt Attitude School opens two new locations – makes strategic acquisition

February 23, 2017

The Upstate’s leading taekwondo academy and American Taekwondo Association (“ATA”) affiliate Black Belt Attitude School (“BBAS”) has opened its fourth and fifth area schools at 1791 Woodruff Road in Greenville and 656 Fairview Road in Simpsonville.

The Woodruff Road location is in close proximity to the company’s flagship Five Forks location and is a ground up operation started to meet the increased demand for classes throughout the north Woodruff Road and Five Forks area. The school is currently running 30-day free trial classes for children and adults interested in learning this martial art.

The Fairview location is the result of the company’s first property acquisition. The property, purchased for an undisclosed price, was formerly the home of Kim’s Taekwondo. “We are excited to continue our expansion in the Upstate,” states BBAS owner and 6th degree black belt Master Daniel Madriaga. “We have great things planned for the Simpsonville location including fitness opportunities for parents to partake while their children train in the art of Taekwondo.” Co-owner, 4th degree black belt and 2016 World Champion in Sparring Lorena Ausa continues, “we look forward to welcoming all of Mr. Kim’s students into the ATA BBAS family, and are currently inviting them to train with us. We have a great history of champions throughout our current schools and we look forward to adding more from this Fairview location.” The Fairview property is currently being renovated and updated to meet the needs of the BBAS students. Classes continue during construction and a formal ribbon cutting will be announced in the coming weeks.
