BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina named in Forbes’ List of America’s Best Employers

Forbes magazine included BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina in its annual ranking of America’s Best Employers. The company was one of four BlueCross companies included, ranking 15th in the insurance sector, and coming in at 380th overall out of 500 employers.
Using data collected anonymously from employees, Forbes’ “America’s Best Employers” list was based on more than 30,000 employee survey responses at midsize and large companies in 25 industries across the United States.
Respondents were asked to complete a 35-question independent survey through an online access panel that ranked their own employer and other employers in the same industry sector. Companies had to receive more than 100 positive mentions from current employees and industry professionals as well as an additional 20 direct recommendations.
