Call for 2014 Upstate CreateAthon Applications

July 15, 2014
GREENVILLE, SC – DNA Creative Communications (DNA), a Greenville-based public relations and marketing firm, announces its launch of the 2014 CreateAthon as the exclusive partner agency in Upstate, S.C. The event will be held on October 2324, 2014.
CreateAthon is a 24-hour, work-around-the-clock creative blitz during which marketing, advertising and public relations firms across the world generate creative and strategic work for local non-profits on a pro bono basis. Since the program’s creation in 1998, 91 organizations have participated in the CreateAthon network, holding CreateAthon events in their respective markets both nationally and internationally. The effort has impacted over 1,300 non-profits, delivering more than 3,500 projects valued at over $16.7 million.

“We are excited to continue to serve the Upstate in our second year as a CreateAthon partner agency,” said Debbie Nelson, President and Founder of DNA. “By working with other partners in South Carolina, we are able to expand the scope of pro bono marketing services available to non-profits throughout our state. This opportunity allows us to donate our time and communications expertise to provide local organizations with tools that will ensure their future success.”

This year’s National CreateAthon week will be held October 1925. DNA is currently seeking applications from small non-profits, which have little or no marketing budget and have never worked with an agency before, to submit ideas for a one-time project. Any 501(c)3 organization in need of marketing materials to help their cause is eligible to apply and be considered as a CreateAthon beneficiary. Those non-profits interested in applying for the 2014 CreateAthon in Upstate, S.C. should visit www.dnacc.com to download the application and apply no later than August 22, 2014.
