Callison Tighe contributes $10,000 to Harvest Hope

Continuing a commitment dating to 2009, the law firm of Callison Tighe has contributed $10,000 to Harvest Hope, a non-profit organization that helps feed millions of South Carolinians every year.
Over the better part of the last decade, Callison Tighe has donated $97,500 to Harvest Hope, helping South Carolina’s families in times of need.
“There are families who quite literally have to choose every day between paying the rent and buying food,” Callison Tighe partner Rick Detwiler said. “Those at risk include the most vulnerable – small children and the elderly. In Richland County alone, 19 percent of the children struggle with hunger. The work Harvest Hope does is vitally important.”
Harvest Hope helps more than 2 million South Carolinians every year. The organization partners with 476 non-profit agencies to serve people across 20 counties, distributing more than 28 million meals in 2016. Additionally, Harvest Hope is South Carolina’s primary disaster hunger relief organization, meaning it’s ready to mobilize quickly to any area hit by a man-made or natural disaster.
