Camp Fellowship to Host Red Letter Day for Cancer Survivors and Their Families

September 2, 2024

On Saturday, September 7, 2024, Camp Fellowship in Waterloo, SC, will welcome cancer survivors and their families for a special Family and Friends Red Letter Day. This free event, running from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM, is designed to bring them together for a day of significance, healing, and celebration.

What is a Red Letter Day?

A Red Letter Day is more than just a date on the calendar; it symbolizes a day of importance and opportunity. This event celebrates friendships and fellowship while embracing healing and wholeness within the community. Cancer survivors, their families, and friends will engage in shared outdoor experiences like fishing, boating, and nature walks. The day will also offer creative outlets such as music, art, and crafting, along with opportunities to give back through service, caring, and sharing.

Activities for all Ages

The Red Letter Day is open to all cancer survivors, their families, and friends, offering something for every age group. Whether attendees want to enjoy the beauty of nature, participate in creative activities, or spend quality time with loved ones, the event promises a fulfilling experience for everyone.

Collaborative Community Effort

This Red Letter Day is part of a program offered by the Fellowship Camp and Conference Center, provided free of charge to cancer survivors and their caregivers, thanks to the generosity of donors. The event is made possible through collaboration with local organizations, including Self Regional Health Care Cancer Center, the Cancer Support Community at Prisma Health – Greenville Memorial, YMCA of the Lakelands, and other community partners.
