GREENVILLE, SC – October 30, 2010 – The Carolina First Saturday Market gets a seasonal makeover October 30, offering seasonal produce and children’s activities including pumpkin carving, Halloween trick-or-treating and a children’s Halloween Costume Contest. The market’s Autumn Harvest will take place on Main Street at McBee Avenue from 8 a.m. – Noon.
“Autumn is a great time of year for fresh, seasonal items, and the market provides the perfect opportunity to shop local,” said Market Manager Morgan Cox. “We also have great children’s activities scheduled during the Autumn Harvest, so shoppers can bring the entire family for a fun-filled morning of Halloween events.”
Market shoppers will find an assortment of seasonal produce, gourmet foods and colorful flowers from over 40 different market vendors. Featured seasonal market items include pumpkins, apples, an assortment of coffee blends, gourmet dog treats and freshly baked pies and breads. In addition to shopping for the finest and freshest locally grown seasonal items, the Autumn Harvest will also feature a cooking demonstration and live music by a local entertainer.

Children’s Halloween Trick-or-Treating
8 a.m. – Noon
Children can go trick-or-treating at all the market vendor booths.
Pumpkin Carving
8 a.m. – Noon
Shoppers can buy their pumpkins at the market and carve it for Halloween night. Fun patterns and carving tools will be available to use.
Children’s Halloween Costume Contest
10:30 a.m.
Children can show off their Halloween costume at the market’s Halloween Costume Contest. Children must sign up for the contest at the City of Greenville booth by 10 a.m.
