Partnership of Renee Smith, David Smith, Joan Blake and James Blake Acquire Carolina Health Care, LLC

COLUMBIA, SC – May 5, 2014 – A partnership of Renee and David Smith, and James and Joan Blake has purchased Carolina Health Care, LLC from Al Crosby, effective February, 2014.  Carolina Health Care, which was founded over 30 years ago, was acquired by Crosby in 2007.  He approached David Smith, his partner in another business (Cellular Source), about purchasing Carolina Health Care so he could retire.  Smith had previously provided consulting services for Carolina Health Care.  Smith and his wife, Renee, with James and Joan Blake are now partner-owners of the business; Renee and Joan Blake are majority owners.  The rest of the staff from Crosby’s ownership has remained under the new leadership.

Carolina Health Care provides in-home care for seniors and special needs children.  Services include long and short term care; hospital and nursing home care; personal, transportation and companion care; and a great variety of nursing options.  Employees must pass thorough employment and background checks and be committed to the company’s philosophy of loving care.

The company remains at the 1410 Blanding Street, Suite 100 location.
