Cassell elected president of York County Bar Association

Melissa Cassell, an attorney with Morton & Gettys, has been elected president of the York County Bar Association.

Cassell, a member of the Bar’s executive committee for the past three years, will serve a one-year term.

An experienced attorney who came to Morton & Gettys in 2013, Cassell’s practice includes commercial real estate and corporate law. As part of her practice, she helps businesses navigate employment, real estate and general corporate needs and encounters.

She has served as an adjunct professor at the University of South Carolina School of Law, co-teaching a capstone course on small business organization, aimed at advising entrepreneurs on their startup companies.

In addition to her service with the legal community, Cassell also serves the Rock Hill community. She is a board member for Affinity Health Center, Leadership York County, Rock Hill Parks Foundation and the Come-See-Me Festival.
