CBRE’s Marie Dieckmann among Columbia’s Best and Brightest

CBRE  announced that Marie Dieckmann, Advisory & Transaction Services Associate, has been recognized as one of Columbia Business Monthly’s “Best and Brightest Under 35” for 2017. The honor was given to 35 young leaders in the Midlands making an impact in their community and workplaces.

Dieckmann was recognized for her career achievements and community contributions. From CBRE’s downtown Columbia location, she delivers innovative corporate real estate solutions to meet the unique needs her clients ranging from small, locally-owned businesses to Fortune 500 companies. Since 2014, Dieckmann and her team participated in more than 243 transactions totaling over 1.3 million square feet.

“Marie embodies CBRE’s RISE values, which are Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence,” said Steve Smith, Managing Director of CBRE’s South Carolina offices. “She is well-respected in the community and we are proud to have her on our South Carolina team.”

Among many of the nonprofit organizations Dieckmann is involved with, she most recently served as the President of the Board of Directors for Palmetto Place Children’s Shelter. During her presidency, the shelter underwent a $1 million capital campaign to renovate the existing shelter and acquire a second location. She is also involved with Cystic Fibrosis Foundation South Carolina Chapter’s annual Carolina Kick Off for a Cure event, CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Midlands Chapter, Junior Woman’s Club of Columbia and St. Andrews Baptist Church.

Dieckmann is a graduate of Leadership Columbia Class of 2014 and is the Columbia field delegate for CBRE’s Women’s Network. The Women’s Network promotes the success of women at CBRE and provides a foundation to enhance careers through growth, connection and membership.

This year marks the second year that Columbia Business Monthly has honored a class of 35 Best and Brightest Under 35. Aaron Dupree, First Vice President, was honored in 2016 and CBRE South Carolina is fortunate to have five additional past honorees in the Greenville-Spartanburg market, including one of the very first. Christina Gridley, Senior Marketing Specialist, was honored in 2016; Shelby Dodson, Senior Associate, was honored in 2015; Justin Hirsch, Vice President, was honored in 2014; Blaine Hart, Vice President, was honored in 2012; and Steve Navarro, Executive Vice President, was honored in 1983.
