Central SC Alliance Names Board of Directors and Officers for 2015-2016

COLUMBIA, SC – The Central SC Alliance, the state’s oldest regional economic development alliance, has named the 2015-2016 Board of Directors and Officers. The Alliance Board of Directors will provide governance for the 9-county regional organization as it promotes and brands the region and recruits businesses to the Central Region of South Carolina. The 32 member Board includes: the chair person from each of the member counties, the Mayor of Columbia, leaders from the major private sector investors, as well as several virtue of office members.

The Board Officers elected for 2015-2016 include: Chairman, Mike Brenan, Group/State President, BB&T; Vice Chairman/Public Sector, Johnny Jeffcoat, Chairman, Lexington County Council; Vice Chair/Private Sector, Ted Creech, Director External Affairs, AT&T South Carolina; Chair of Development, John Garrison, Vice President and Chief Counsel for Colonial Life; Chair of Finance, Jim Hazel, Shareholder with Elliott Davis Decosimo.

Private Sector Board Members re-elected: C.W. “Chuck” Garnett, President and CEO, NBSC; J. Barry Ham, President, Bank of Clarendon; William L. Hart, Chief Executive Officer, Fairfield Electric.

Private Sector Board Members newly elected: W. Keller Kissam, Senior Vice President, SCANA Corporation; Mickey Renner, Senior Vice President, Wells Fargo; Eva Nance, Senior Client Manager in the Southeastern Region of the Global Commercial Bank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
