Check presentation to Trooper Rebman Memorial Fund

November 20, 2017

On Wednesday, November 15, 2017, Chief Terrence Green presented a check to Colonel C. N. Williamson of the South Carolina Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol with the proceeds collected during the recent benefit luncheon for the family of Trooper Daniel Keith Rebman, Jr. who died in a line of duty collision in Greenville County, South Carolina.

On Thursday, November 2, 2017, officers served hot dog lunch boxes at the Town of Lexington Municipal Complex and sold nearly 500 meals which raised $3,800 to benefit the Trooper Rebman Memorial Fund.

This benefit luncheon was made possible by the generous support of local businesses who quickly stepped in to provide drinks, chips, hotdog buns, condiments, desserts, and other items which maximized the donation that was given to the Trooper Redman Memorial Fund.

The businesses supporting the benefit luncheon included:

  • Catch Seafood
  • Chick-fil-A Saluda Pointe
  • Coca-Cola Consolidated Bottling Co.
  • Cribb’s Sandwich & Sweet Shop
  • Derst Baking Company
  • Firehouse Subs
  • Hudson’s Smokehouse BBQ
  • Lowes Foods
  • Momma Rabbit’s Nibbles & Sips
  • US Foods
  • Yummie Creations

Chief Terrence Green said, “The check given this week to the Trooper Rebman Memorial Fund is yet another example of how the Town of Lexington community steps up to support law enforcement and in this case, a family who are experiencing a tragic loss of a husband and father.

Thank you to every person who attended this luncheon and for their generous donations.  Thanks also to each business that graciously gave everything needed.  The support was appreciated.”

Donations to the Trooper Redman Memorial Fund can be made at all First Citizens Bank locations along with this Go Fund Me page which has been managed by Heroes In Blue.
