These four individuals will help oversee the organization’s mission — to focus on filling vacancies in commercial properties, retaining existing downtown businesses and recruiting new ones, and expanding the downtown residential base while providing security, maintenance, and marketing to create a safe, clean, and friendly downtown environment.

At the meeting, current CCP Chairman, John McArthur, presented Chairman’s awards to Andy Smith from the Nickelodeon Theatre and Ben Arnold of the Arnold Companies, recognizing their help in transforming downtown and the city over the past several years. Also, for the first time since CCP’s inception, two awards were presented to very special yellow shirt ambassadors – Patrice Gomillion and Michael Stratford.
