FMU grad adds both local and professional expertise to CMA
COLUMBIA, SC – After being in business for eight years, Columbia-based marketing and public relations firm, Clare Morris Agency (CMA), has made its first expansion (and has hired its first male associate in company history).
Logan Trively is a native of Irmo and earned his B.A. in Mass Communications from FMU in 2011. He interned in the Francis Marion University Public Affairs Office and Department of Athletics as a marketing intern.
“I am beyond thrilled to be working with CMA and the opportunity to be back in the Pee Dee! This area has been home to me since my years at Francis Marion and I am so happy to be back and doing what I love,” he says.
Logan comes to CMA from Clear Channel Communications where he worked as an account executive putting together marketing plans for company advertisers and assisting clients with media placement.
Logan also served on the marketing committee for the Columbia Museum of Art’s annual gala, the membership committee at the Capital City Club, in the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce Diplomats, and is a proud brother of the Kappa Alpha Order.
Last spring, Logan came to CMA owner, Clare Morris and explained that he’d done the market research and found that there was not a full-service marketing and PR agency in Florence, Darlington, or Hartsville. He recognized that businesses in the Pee Dee would benefit from working with an agency that had a local office and a strong first-hand knowledge of the region.
“That’s when I decided that CMA needed to open an office in the Pee Dee and Logan was the man to run it,” Clare says. “He is a smart and personable young man who brings lots of local knowledge and professional expertise to the table. We are very fortunate to have him.”
Logan landed CMA’s first Pee Dee client in short order. CMA is very proud to provide marketing and public relations to Victor’s in Hotel Florence. Victor’s was recently awarded a prestigious Certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor.
“The Pee Dee business community is vastly under served when it comes to marketing agencies on the local level and many times companies have to rely on agencies from places like Myrtle Beach and Charleston. Now, we can offer them the same quality work with a local appreciation,” adds Logan.
