Brian Moxey Joins Top Leadership Team

Coldwell Banker Chicora Advantage in Myrtle Beach, S.C. has named Brian Moxey as its new president. Moxey has been a key member of the Coldwell Banker Seacoast Advantage leadership team in Wilmington, N.C. for the past 10 years. While there, he played a major role in helping the firm grow by more than 300 new agents. Given the difficulties the Great Recession presented for the real estate industry, this accomplishment was all the more impressive. In his new role, Moxey will serve with Don Smith, who will continue in his role as chief executive officer, a position Smith has held for 18 years.

Recently, Coldwell Banker Chicora Real Estate merged with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage of Greater Wilmington, N.C. and Coldwell Banker Advantage of Raleigh, Fayetteville and Southern Pines, N.C., to become Coldwell Banker Chicora Advantage. The merger created the largest Coldwell Banker affiliate in the Southeast and the third largest in the country.

Moxey has been working in Myrtle Beach since the merger, helping coordinate many of the new agent programs, such as a new compensation program, the tech help desk and increased social media presence.

“I’m excited to be part of one of the fastest growing communities in the country here on the Grand Strand,” said Brian Moxey, president of Coldwell Banker Chicora Advantage. “The Myrtle Beach area has so much to offer for everyone, from families to retirees. I’m honored to be joining a company with Chicora’s blue chip reputation. This is an organization that has been a big time contributor to its community for an incredible 45 years.”

“Adding Brian Moxey to the Chicora leadership team is a big strategic addition for us,” said Don Smith, chief executive officer of Coldwell Banker Chicora Advantage. “He’s an important part of our plan to continue to position Chicora to be the best real estate company in the Carolinas for many years to come. We’re both heavily committed to seeing Coldwell Banker Chicora Advantage remain at the top of its industry.”

From its humble beginnings in 1972, Chicora has grown over the past 45 years into one of the region’s most well-known and respected businesses. More than just a strong force in the real estate industry, the company has demonstrated longstanding leadership in community service. It has played a major role in such organizations as the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, American Red Cross, YMCA, United Way, Waccamaw Community Foundation and more.

The Coldwell Banker Advantage network serves the area from Wilmington, N.C. to Georgetown, S.C. and inland along the border belt to Raleigh, N.C. 2016 figures totaled $3 billion in sales and 14,450 in transactions.
