College of Business and Behavioral Science names Pickett senior associate dean
September 17, 2014CLEMSON, SC — Greg Pickett has been named senior associate dean of Clemson’s College of Business and Behavioral Science (CBBS). Pickett’s new role will make him ultimately responsible for the oversight of the college’s communications, academic affairs, research, business affairs and special projects and have him working alongside Interim Dean Robert McCormick.
“Greg will continue to serve as director of MBA Programs and maintain direct oversight of daily operations at Greenville ONE, and I am excited to have him also direct his energy, experience and administrative skills toward addressing our needs on the main campus. I look forward to working closely with him as we propel CBBS forward,” McCormick said.
Pickett served as associate dean of the college’s graduate programs in downtown Greenville from 2010 to the present. He oversaw an unprecedented increase of enrollment in graduate business programs of nearly 50 percent during his tenure. He has been instrumental in developing and launching both full- and part-time MBA concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, positioning Clemson University as a leader in this field. He also was executive director of theSpiro Institute of Entrepreneurial Leadership, initiating numerous continuing education and professional programs designed to spur entrepreneurial activity in the Upstate.
Prior to his administrative roles, Pickett was a professor and chair of Clemson’s marketing department for 10 years. He recently was recognized as Innovator of the Year by Business Black Box magazine for his efforts in Greenville.
