Compass of Carolina hires Patrick Harrison, Deputy Director

Compass of Carolina, a nonprofit organization dedicated to guiding individuals through mental health and family violence challenges, is delighted to announce Dr. Patrick Harrison’s appointment as the new Deputy Director. This pivotal addition underscores Compass’ dedication to data-driven transparency and excellence in programming.

Dr. Harrison joins Compass of Carolina with a rich background in leadership and advocacy, having served as the Deputy Director of Men Stopping Violence in Atlanta, GA. His commitment to community service is deeply rooted in his work as a minister, where he has led congregations in South Carolina and Georgia Baptist Communities. Dr. Harrison’s unwavering dedication to community service is evident in his efforts to foster healing and support within fractured communities.

In his role at Compass, Dr. Harrison will spearhead partnerships both new and existing to realize our vision of a community bolstered by resilient individuals and strong families. He will be responsible for the comprehensive management and supervision of program delivery. Executive Director Laurie Rovin endorses Dr. Harrison’s appointment, citing his temperament, leadership style, and deep expertise in family violence as key to advancing our mission. When asked why he wanted to join Compass, “I want to be part of a winning team of human service professionals that are committed to bringing help, hope, and healing to Carolina families across the state,” said Dr. Harrison.
