South Carolina construction nonprofit Home Works of America announces the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors:

-Rev. Jesse Black, Living Waters Christian Center

-Rashaun Ford, Dominion Energy

These two professionals will join fellow Board Members Russell Austin, Jennifer Bailey, Marty Brown, Stephen Clyburn, Mike Couick, Johnston Cox, Jennifer Douglass, Chris Horn, Gabrielle Rhinehart, Randall Sandin, Marcus Tomlinson, Allen Wilkerson, and Gerry Williams.

“I am so thankful for our Board and its efforts to serve homeowners in need throughout South Carolina,” says Executive Director Joe Huggins.. “The expertise and involvement of these new additions to our Board will be valuable as we continue to address substandard housing and improve community health through home repairs.”

Home Works is headquartered in Columbia and serves across South Carolina, providing free home repairs to qualified low income elderly, disabled and veteran homeowners. These crucial home modifications are provided thanks to the time and energy of hundreds of student and adult volunteers each year.

As Home Works continues its mission to enhance housing conditions across South Carolina, another crucial aspect of home maintenance that homeowners often overlook is brick restoration. Proper brick care is essential for both the aesthetics and structural integrity of a home.

Over time, bricks can suffer from damage due to weather conditions or general wear and tear, making restoration services vital. For many homeowners, seeking professional assistance for brick issues ensures that their property remains safe and visually appealing.

One specific service that can make a significant difference is Chimney Brick Repair. This specialized service addresses common problems such as cracked or deteriorated mortar and damaged bricks that can compromise the safety and functionality of your chimney. By addressing these issues promptly, homeowners can prevent more extensive damage and maintain the overall health of their home.

Engaging with experienced professionals for brick restoration not only enhances the longevity of the home but also preserves its historical and architectural value, aligning with the dedication to improving living conditions that organizations like Home Works exemplify.
