Developing New Full-Service Banking Branches In Greer And Anderson.

New Greer and Anderson Locations Focus on Comprehensive Financial Solutions for the Upstate Community.

Countybank announced the expansion of its branch network into Greer and Anderson, South Carolina. The new offices, located at 103 North Main Street in Greer, and 300 North Main Street in Anderson, both scheduled to open mid-May. The new Greer and Anderson branches are home to local experienced financial professionals who understand the local market and can help people and businesses with their financial needs.

“This is a very exciting time for the Countybank family,” says Ken Harper, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Countybank. “We are proud to expand the reach of our broad range of financial services and to deliver them in the personal manner that only a true community bank can.  We have a very long track record of investing in the communities where we work, live and play. Both Greer and Anderson are at the heart of our strategy of focusing on growth and service solely within the Upstate of South Carolina – this is our home.”

Known for its excellent reputation in commercial banking and mortgage lending, Countybank already caters to a large group of clientele in the Greer and Anderson areas and will better serve the communities through its new local offices. This combination of trusted experience with a community-first approach to financial management has made Countybank a premier community bank in the Upstate region.

“Countybank is no stranger to the Greer community, says Ed Driggers, Greer City Administrator. “Our citizens are very familiar with Countybank’s insurance and mortgage services.  Many of our local businesses already bank with Countybank through their Greenville locations.  It will be nice to see a physical presence now as well.”

With its experienced and passionate team, Countybank prides itself on developing financial industry leaders who are rooted in Upstate communities, such as the Honorable Mayor Rick Danner, recently named Vice President, Business Development. “If I could have written my own job description, this would be it,” said Mayor Danner. “Given my involvement in the community, my helping build a brand like Countybank is a natural fit.” Other notable Greer leaders involved with Countybank are Melody Owens, Vice President, Corporate Communications, and Kevin Duncan, Vice President, Greer City Executive.

In Anderson, Glenn Buddin, Vice President, Anderson Market Executive, has led the charge to build the Countybank brand. “I joined the Countybank family to fulfill a lifelong dream of starting a community bank in my hometown, said Mr. Buddin. “Countybank is the quintessential community bank. I was immediately attracted to Countybank because of its sound leadership, hometown culture and family values. Once presented with the opportunity to represent this organization in Anderson, I jumped.”

“Countybank is built for business and is intent on being the local community bank of choice in the Upstate,” shared Thornwell Dunlap, President and CEO of Countybank. “We continue to expand our Countybank and TCB Corporation franchise selectively as we assess all strategies to build shareholder value.”

Recent market disruption created by bank mergers has accelerated the need for community banks to expand with offices that serve a larger area of the Upstate. These Greer and Anderson branches place Countybank’s team of seasoned banking professionals in the heart of these communities, leveraging their proactive and relationship-based approach in nurturing client and business relationships.
