Courtney Melendez joins Riggs Partners as Account Manager

COLUMBIA, SC – September 4, 2013 – Riggs Partners is pleased to announce that Courtney Melendez has joined the marketing consultancy as Account Manager.

Courtney brings to the agency a strong background in community relations, fundraising, marketing communications and volunteer coordination.

We are delighted to add Courtney to our team, said Teresa Coles of Riggs Partners. She is a seasoned professional with a consistent track record of cultivating new and existing relationships, and maintaining high quality customer service. In her new role, she will work alongside our brand strategists to ensure smooth and effective client service and account management. Plus, as a former client of ours, she is already a member of the Riggs family who will blend seamlessly into our team.

Courtney comes to Riggs Partners from the American Red Cross, where she served as Regional Major Gifts Officer. Prior to that, she was the Director of Community Relations at The Cooperative Ministry. She also has an extensive sales background, having worked with Wentworth Printing and ERA Wilder Realty.

A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Courtney is actively involved in the community as the Communications Vice Chair for Women in Philanthropy and a volunteer with Southeastern German Shepherd Rescue. She is a 2012 graduate of the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Columbia program.
