Crawford Strategy awards Annual Scholarship to Greenville Tech Communications student

Crawford Strategy, a full-service agency committed to providing strategic and creative communications solutions to businesses, has awarded its annual Sandy Linning Scholarship to Marilyn Finney, a full-time Greenville Technical College student pursuing an Associate Degree in Marketing.

“Marilyn exemplifies the hard work and passion valued by Sandy Linning and our team at Crawford Strategy,” says Marion Crawford of Crawford Strategy. “We are proud to support her as she learns more about this industry and works toward her goals.” 

Finney is pursuing a certificate in Marketing and an Associate Degree and is on track to complete her courses by August 2017. In addition to attending classes full-time, Finney, a Spartanburg native, works two jobs to help care for her mother with health issues. She also spends time volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity store. Finney chose to pursue Marketing after developing a passion for creatively sharing stories that can help persuade and educate others. According to her teachers, Finney has excelled in her coursework after selecting this path of study.

This is the second year for the annual scholarship, which was established by Crawford Strategy in 2015 to honor Sandy Linning, a Strategic Advisor and lifelong friend of company founder Marion Crawford. $500 is awarded to a student that meets qualifications and receives a faculty recommendation.
