Cynthia Blair selected to serve on SC Small Business Development Center Advisory Board

The law firm of Blair Cato Pickren Casterline, LLC announced that Cynthia Durham Blair has been selected to serve on the South Carolina Small Business Development Center (SC SBDC) Advisory Board for a three-year term.

The advisory board advises, counsels, and confers with the State Director of the SC SBDC. Other advisory functions include:

• Advocating for the SC SBDC in legislative and regulatory arenas.
• Staying informed on the needs of the small business community and market developments that impact SC small businesses and sharing that information to help guide the State Director, as requested.
• Helping to raise awareness of the SC SBDC in the marketplace.
• Acting as a liaison with local SBDC host university and community stakeholders to establish and/or strengthen those relationships.

About Cynthia Blair??Cynthia Blair is very active in the real estate industry. She serves on the Board of Governors and is the current President-Elect of the American Land Title Association (“ALTA”). Additionally, she serves on numerous committees and task forces of ALTA, all for the improvement of the real estate title and settlement industry. She has served as officer and director of both the Palmetto Land Title Association and the Mortgage Lenders Association of Greater Columbia. Blair is the immediate past-chair of the Real Estate Section Council of the South Carolina Bar. She is also a licensed instructor of continuing education for real estate agents in South Carolina.
