Daybreak Ministries names new Executive Director

Daybreak Pregnancy Center announced the hiring of Brennan Aschleman as its new Executive Director.
“We are extremely happy to have someone with Brennan’s background and experience to lead our organization,” said Eddie Benton, chairperson of the Daybreak Board of Directors. “He has a passion for excellence and an uncompromising commitment to the protection of the unborn. We thank God for the remarkable path that has led him to Daybreak.”
Born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Aschleman is a graduate of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, receiving a degree in Religion, Theology and Biblical Studies. An ordained pastor, he has been involved in ministry for over 15 years. Aschleman currently serves as Pastor of Calvary Chapel Northeast Columbia. For the past 11 years, he has worked as a bi-vocational professional for Target Corporation with roles ranging from Operations Manager to Human Resources Director. His most recent position has been the Senior Director and General Manager of Target’s Distribution Center in Lugoff, SC. He has also served on several community boards in the Midlands.
“My transition from the corporate world to full time ministry is the culmination of years of prayer and seeking the Lord’s guidance,” said Aschleman. “I feel so blessed to be joining the Daybreak team and am excited about engaging in the incredibly important lifesaving work accomplished each day by this great organization. I look forward to leading the Daybreak team to have a continued positive impact in the Midlands as we passionately work to care for women, families and the rights of the unborn.”
Aschleman’s leadership comes at an exciting time. Daybreak Ministries just moved to a new building located at 1601 St. Julian Place in Columbia’s Middleburg Plaza. An official grand opening celebration will be held on January 7, 2017 starting at 2 p.m.
Brennan and his wife Ashley have been married for 13 years and have 3 children: Alexis (11), James (9), and Elijah (7).
