Deborah J. Tapley promoted to Vice President of Operations for Palmetto Health

COLUMBIA, SC – April 3, 2009 – Debbie Tapley has recently been promoted to vice president of Operations for Palmetto Health. Tapley has been a member of the hospital’s professional staff for 21 years. In this role, she will be responsible for oversight of all clinical support departments including Laboratory, Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, and Radiology, Pharmacy and Clinical Nutrition, Food Services and Environmental Services.

Tapley received her bachelor’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of Connecticut and completed her master’s in Business Administration at University of South Carolina.

Prior to becoming vice president, Tapley served for as director of Pharmaceutical Services and Clinical Nutrition. Her professional affiliations include memberships in the American Pharmacists Association, Palmetto Health Credit Union Board of Directors, Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society, and Department of Health & Human Services: Medicaid Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee.
