Derrick, Stubbs & Stith announces new management team

COLUMBIA, SC – Derrick, Stubbs & Stith, LLP, has created a management committee of experienced members who will steer the firm as it continues to offer a broad range of services designed to meet the needs of businesses in South Carolina and beyond.

The new leadership team consists of Derrick Stubbs partners Charles R. Statler Jr., Alan F. Grimsley and K. Todd Dailey.

All three are certified public accountants who have combined experience of over nine decades. They each bring unique perspectives, experiences, skills and expertise to the management team.

Statler came to Derrick Stubbs in 1979 and earned his CPA license in 1981. He became a partner in 1987. Over the years, he has worked with clients in every aspect of services the firm offers, with a strong emphasis on tax planning and compliance and consulting services. He is the lead partner in the firm’s Small Business Department and has assumed the role of managing partner.

 

 

 

Grimsley_midlandsbiz

 

Grimsley joined the firm in 1989 after working in the South Carolina State Auditor’s Office and as an audit manager for a national CPA firm. He became a partner in 1993. He works with business entities, providing audit services and tax return compliance and planning. He also provides accounting support services, forensic services and feasibility studies. Grimsley leads the firm’s audit and assurance practice and also manages the firm’s internal financial management responsibilities.

 

 

 

Dailey_midbiz

 

Dailey earned his CPA license in 1993 and Certified Valuation Analyst license in 1999. He has been with Derrick Stubbs since 2003. He provides services to businesses and individuals in taxation, accounting, business valuation and consulting services. Dailey has written articles about taxation issues for business journals and trade publications, and he also addresses continuing education seminars about topics such as tax and business valuation. Dailey leads the firm’s tax practice and internally manages the area of human resources.
