Dr. Katie Gies, DVM, Joins South Carolina Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care

COLUMBIA, SC – South Carolina Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care (SCVSEC), a specialty veterinary practice with 24-hour emergency care, announces that Katie Gies, DVM, has joined the practice and will treat emergency cases.

Dr. Gies earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Excluding a year in general practice, Gies practices both emergency care and surgery. Additionally, she works with the Humane Society and World Vets organizations to provide spay and neuter services, also teaching techniques to the organizations’ veterinary students. Dr. Gies will join SCVSEC’s eight other emergency care doctors and provide emergency care for patients for 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
