COLUMBIA, SC – Dreher High School is ranked seventh in South Carolina in U.S. News & World Report’s 2015 Best High Schools listing. As one of the state’s top-ranked schools, Dreher was awarded a national silver medal by the publication.

U.S. News & World Report’s research team reviewed nearly 20,000 public schools across the nation. Schools were evaluated based on reading and math proficiency tests and college readiness using Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate test data.

In addition to having outstanding academic programs, Dreher’s Academic Decathlon team is ranked 18th in the nation and the school consistently has National Merit Scholarship winners. Dreher Principal Jeanne Stiglbauer is very proud of her school’s continued legacy of academic excellence.

“We are deeply honored by this very special recognition of the excellence and hard work of our students, their parents, our teachers and staff, and community supporters,” said Stiglbauer. “We are thrilled to be ranked seventh in the state and to be awarded a silver medal. We are inspired to continue our pursuit of rigorous academic challenges and high levels of achievement for all of our students. Go, Blue Devils!”
