EdVenture names new President & CEO

EdVenture, the Southeast’s largest children’s museum, is excited to announce that Lisa W. Hailey has been named as its new President and CEO. Ms. Hailey, a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, joined the EdVenture staff in April 2017 as Chief Operating Officer and subsequently has been serving as Interim President and CEO following the resignation of former CEO, Karen Coltrane in July 2018.

Prior to joining EdVenture, Ms. Hailey successfully guided expansion and satellite efforts at the Children’s Museum of Richmond (Richmond, VA), while having served as the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Director of Marketing, and Interim President and CEO during her 11 – year tenure at the museum.

James Y. Becker, Chairman of EdVenture’s Board of Trustees, said “We sincerely appreciate Lisa’s hard work and dedication since joining EdVenture. She has gained the confidence and full support of the Board and staff, and we share her vision of what EdVenture can become in the future.”

With an enduring, proven career in finance, operations, and marketing, in addition to a steadfast commitment to success, Ms. Hailey looks forward to guiding EdVenture in fulfilling its mission of creating new generations of lifelong learners.
