Elizabeth Burwell named leader for Wells Fargo’s Business Banking Team in Charleston

15-year industry veteran named Business Banking Manager

Growing its presence in Charleston and the Lowcountry is part of Wells Fargo’s ongoing strategy to expand its Business Banking Group (BBG) presence and capabilities and work closely with other company business lines to best serve business customers. Strengthening its BBG operations in markets throughout South Carolina, Wells Fargo & Company recently announced that Elizabeth Burwell will serve as Business Banking Manager for its local BBG team in Charleston. In this role, Burwell will lead a local team dedicated to providing a range of financial products and services to Wells Fargo’s Business Banking customers throughout the market. Based in Charleston, Burwell reports to Len Hutchison, Business Banking Manager for Eastern South Carolina.

“Elizabeth has extensive leadership experience and a strong track record for developing and cultivating meaningful relationships with our customers and Wells Fargo bank partners,” said Hutchison. “I have no doubt that she will lead our team members to achieve success and our BBG customers to succeed financially.”

A 15-year financial industry veteran, Burwell joined Wells Fargo in 2003 as a licensed financial specialist in Charleston. Prior to her current role, she served as a Producing Manager responsible for managing a large portfolio of client relationships and a small team.

Burwell is a native of Charleston and is very active in her community. She serves as the Immediate Past President of the Junior League of Charleston and as an elder in the Rockville Presbyterian Church. Additionally, she is a member of the Board of Directors for the Kiawah Cares Foundation and the Slade Dozier Foundation and is an active member of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce.
