Prominent Accounting Firm Promotes within Greenville and Columbia Offices
Elliott Davis, a leading business solutions firm with nine offices across the Southeast, announced that four team members have been promoted to principal within the Greenville and Columbia offices. The designation became effective September 1, 2020.

The four new principals include:
Jimmy Buddenberg leads the Elliott Davis Digital practice, helping customers manage their digital transformation by providing Digital Business Solutions, Digital Operations & Cybersecurity, and Digital Risk Services. Based in the firm’s Greenville office, Buddenberg has more than 25 years of experience in providing high quality IT and security services to clients across all industries ranging in size from small and medium-sized businesses to Fortune 500. He holds a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from Muskingum University.
Rebecca Leshman, CPA, works with Elliott Davis’s Manufacturing and Distribution and Technology and Life Science clients. Based in the firm’s Greenville office, she has spent the majority of her career helping customers meet their complex tax financial reporting and tax compliance needs. Leshman holds both a BS and MS in Accountancy from Wake Forest University. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the South Carolina Board of Accountancy, the Virginia Board of Accountancy and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Brittany Owen, CPA, is based in the firm’s Columbia office and has more than 14 years of experience with Elliott Davis. She provides comprehensive tax and consulting services to companies in the Construction, Real Estate and Manufacturing industries, as well as numerous closely held businesses. She holds a BS in Accountancy and MAcc from the University of South Carolina. Currently, Owen serves as President of the Construction Financial Management Association of South Carolina, and she is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Builders and Contractors.
Mark Scriven, CPA, is based in the firm’s Columbia office, where he primarily focuses on the Financial Institution industry sector. In addition to traditional external audit experience, Scriven leads our model risk management team and assists customers through outsourced and co-sourced internal audit engagements and other consulting solutions, including, but not limited to, initial public offerings and assistance with other SEC filings. He holds a BS in Accountancy from Grove City College, and he is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.
