Lia Colabello, Planet, Principal and Founder, Planet + Purpose Solutions

Lia Colabello is a Charleston-based entrepreneur and founder of women-owned Planet + Purpose Solutions – a B-corp certified boutique consulting firm comprised of women who help organizations launch their sustainability initiatives. The team takes a hands-on approach, developing timely, relevant, action-oriented sustainability initiatives that highlight a brands’ greater purpose.

Lia was inspired by the power of the intersection of brands and purpose after working around the world with international sports organizations including the PGA TOUR, World Surf League and National Football League, and later with ocean conservation organizations including the Surfrider Foundation and the 5 Gyres Institute to address the rise of plastic pollution.

Originally from the North Shore of O‘ahu in Hawaii, Lia attended the University of Southern California, where she played varsity water polo and graduated with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Anthropology. She has an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University.
