Entrepreneurial Secrets: Creating memorable experiences
April 3, 2017By Jerry Bellune
We talked about a lifetime client strategy last week.
This is a proven strategy you, too, can use.
If you missed it, email [email protected]
I’ll be glad to send you a copy.
Today we’ll talk about exceptional client service.
It will differentiate you from your competition.
It’s far more than just teaching your people to smile.
Treat people the way they want to be treated.
Give them what, when and how they want it.
It’s not hard to understand their points of view.
To them buying is risky. Ease their fears.
Here are three ways to do it:
- Become your customer’s customer.
Hire them for services and buy their products.
Visit their web sites, locations and look around.
Look for prospects for what they have to offer.
In your network are prospects fort them.
On finding one, let them know you did it.
“You may receive a call or visit from ___,” you say.
“We spoke today and I passed on your phone number.
“He (or she) is looking for ___.”
- Provide other leads to generate business.
This is easy to talk about but harder to do.
You have to work your network to do it well.
You have to ask friends about their problems.
What needs and wants might you help with.
Joining a networking club helps with this.
You’ll be encouraged to pass leads to other members.
- Reward them with a gift or birthday card.
We send clients cards at Thanksgiving and New Years.
We don’t at Christmas. They are lost in the clutter.
We also send cards quarterly with rewards in it.
We send them newsletters and helpful articles.
One of our people takes donuts to her clients.
We mail our newspapers to them every week.
They are reminded that we care every week.
More such tips coming your way next week.
