We talked about memorable experiences last week.

These are proven strategies you, too, can use.

If you missed it, email [email protected]

I’ll be glad to send you a copy.

Here are four more strategies for you.

  1. Send thank-you notes. Do it every day.

We all know to do this, Practicing it is harder,

Think of the last hand-written note you received.

The writer was specific about what she wrote.

I say ‘she’ as women are better at this than men.

Our 3.5” x 8.5” card fits easily into a No. 10 envelope.

It simply has our logo at the top and room to write.

Before going home, review who you saw today.

What ideas did they share? What did they buy?

What benefit or value did they give you.

Sit down and write those cards thanking them

Don’t do it by email. Hand write and mail it.

Peter Drucker sent 12 thank-you cards every day.

He attributed much of his success to the practice.

It will encourage you to get others people’s cards.

  1. Return phone calls promptly. Right now.

Many people don’t return calls or call days later.

When you do, you gain a distinct advantage.

People respect those who do and appreciate it.

It’s like doing what you say you will do.

  1. Under-promise and over-deliver.

All of us know this. Practicing it is harder.

Be accessible. Show customers you are available.

You are willing to help them with their problems.

Be open and meet their needs and wants.

Be credible. Establish trust right away.

If not, they write you off and go to your competitors.

  1. Appearance counts. Perception is reality.

Prospects judge you by the way you look.

Don’t over dress or under dress.

Dress the way your prospects and clients do.
