Fisher & Phillips Helps Brighten Military Holidays with Operation Christmas Stocking Donation
December 8, 2009COLUMBIA, SC – December 3, 2009 – The South Carolina office of national labor and employment law firm Fisher & Phillips LLP has collected dozens of stocking stuffers, snacks, toiletries, games and gifts to provide approximately 20 military service members with care packages as they serve overseas this holiday season.
Members of the firm and their families donated gifts for Operation Christmas Stocking, an arm of Operation Give that provides stockings, gifts and everyday necessities to thank American troops who are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“This is a small way for us to show our appreciation to the service men and women who can’t be with their families at a special time of year,” said Karen Gieselman, who spearheaded the drive, which also included multiple thank-you notes and a separate donation to help Blue Star Mothers cover the cost of shipping the stockings.
