FunnelDelicious revamps downtown restaurant

GREENVILLE, SC – Downtown’s smallest restaurant is getting bigger. FunnelDelicious has just completed renovating its restaurant to add more inside seating, a streamlined menu and an updated kitchen layout for more efficient cooking, said Mike Pennington, the restaurant’s owner.
Everything on the FunnelDelicious menu is cooked to order so the streamlined menu will means faster service for customers, he said. The new menu includes fried desserts, hand dipped corn dogs, and of course, funnel cakes. The renovation adds three tables seating an additional 10 people in the store. There is plenty of seating on the outdoor garden patio.
In addition, FunnelDelicious will be going to a seven-day a week schedule once Greenville County Schools go on summer break, he said.
“We have tried a lot of things in the past four years,“ he said. “There is still a lot of fine tuning, owning a restaurant is an everyday job, but our fans have really enjoyed the changes.”
Also new for the summer, FunnelDelicious is offering a special promotion for Greenville Drive games, which is located just across the street from the baseball stadium.
“We plan to stay open later during summer weekend games, offer a free topping if you show your Drive ticket stub, and really work to cross promote with our sister company – Rhino Concessions at the waterparks,” he said.
