Gov. Nikki Haley, Major General Livingston announce S.C.-Colombia partnership

COLUMBIA, SC – July 25, 2012 – GovernorNikki Haley, Major General Robert E. Livingston, Jr., the adjutantgeneral of South Carolina, and Jorge Enrique Bedoya Vizcaya, ViceMinister of Defense for the Republic of Colombia, announced the NationalGuard’s State Partnership Program between the Republic of Colombia andthe State of South Carolina.

The proclamation signed by the governor and Vice Ministerof Defense Bedoya celebrates the establishment of the historicbilateral relationship. This month marks the 20th anniversary of theNational Guard’s State Partnership Program. The bilateral relationshipbetween South Carolina and Colombia is the 64th State Partnership in theprogram’s 20 year history.
