Governor McMaster appoints Richard Cohn, Sr. as Chair of SCETV

Governor Henry McMaster has announced that Richard Cohn, Chairman of Cohn Corporation, will serve as the Chair of South Carolina Educational Television Commission (SCETV).
As Chair of SCETV Commission, Rick will oversee the commission in the planning of SCETV for the upcoming year. His term began on began on Dec. 11 and will expire on June 23, 2020.
“SCETV has been an important voice in the homes of South Carolinians for decades, and its legacy is one that must be carefully fostered and protected,” said Gov. Henry McMaster. “Mr. Cohn’s experience in business and his well-established dedication to our state will help us do that and will further its mission of providing quality educational television and radio programming to South Carolinians throughout our state.”
“Our goal is to make SCETV the thriving network it use to be,” said Rick “along with the other members of the board, I’m excited to get this productive year started.”
As founder and chairman of Cohn Corporation, Rick continually seeks ways to positively impact the communities and states we serve. He is a prominent member of the South Carolina Community through his civic involvement, he is formerly served as Chairman of the City of Columbia Planning Commission and as a member of the American Arbitration Association. Rick uses his leadership and success as a means to help others and in 2011, he received the Palmetto Patriot award in recognition for his contributions to the state of South Carolina. Rick has also been named to Columbia Business Monthly’s 50 Most Influential List.
