Greater Lexington Chamber reaches 1,000 members

December 11, 2014

LEXINGTON, SC – The Greater Lexington Chamber and Visitors Center has grown to over 1,000 members.

Membership numbers hovered just above 800 since the early 2000s and have steadily climbed.

“Our Chamber has had the lofty goal of obtaining 1,000 members for over a decade. And now through years of hard work, we have reached our goal,” said GLC&VC President/CEO Randy Halfacre. “Having a membership of that size places our Chamber in a select group of chambers throughout the country. It gives our members a broader, more diverse base for networking and relationship building for business growth.”

The Chamber has always kept that number in sight, but it’s about more than that says Haylee Anderson, membership services.

“It’s not just about a number. It’s about helping our small businesses,” said Anderson. “I hope it says to our businesses that their voice is being heard, that we do work hard for them.”

The Chamber would like to thank its staff, board of directors and ambassadors, past and present, for helping to grow this successful and connected group of businesses.
