Greenville County reveleopment authority conducts pre-leasing event for Miller Place Court

The Greenville County Redevelopment Authority (GCRA), the City of Mauldin, and Greenville County announced that on October 30 th  at 11:00 a.m. they will be holding a Pre-Leasing Event and Tour of their newest workforce and affordable housing complex, Miller Place Court. During this event, GCRA will be accepting lease applications for Miller Place Court. This complex is a nine duplex eighteen-unit workforce and affordable housing project located at the corner of Miller Road and Old Mill Road in Mauldin, South Carolina. In 2018, Greenville County and GCRA commissioned an affordable housing study to identify the approximate number of additional affordable housing units needed in Greenville County.  The consultant recommended (1) continue to build single family homes for homeownership (2) build single family attached and detached affordable units (3) provide grants for age restricted individuals or families which would allow residents to age in place (4) develop a landlord grant program to improve the condition of current affordable rental units to insure they remain affordable.  The Miller Place Court project addresses the need for new affordable rental for families that meet the federal income guidelines.

Miller Place Court is made possible with funding from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), County Bank, the Greenville County Affordable Housing Fund (GCAHF), and the Federal HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME).
