Greenville Transit Authority lists Downtown Greenville West End Historic District land parcel for sale

October 31, 2024

The Greenville Transit Authority selects Colliers | South Carolina for the sale of its Augusta Street and Main Street parcel with bidding set to begin October 31.

The Greenville Transit Authority (GTA) has engaged Colliers, in conjunction with Christopher David Properties, Inc., to assist with the sale of a ±2.85-acre land parcel on Augusta Street. This decision aims to accommodate the organization’s growing needs and long-term goals for the area.

The Augusta Street parcel, with pedestrian access to S. Main Street, is located in Greenville’s West End Historic District, next to The Greenville Drive’s Fluor Field, the nationally ranked food hall Gather GVL, the South Carolina Children’s Theatre and one of downtown’s most popular attractions, Falls Park. The MXS-D Zoning of this property allows for a wide variety of redevelopment options which could consist of multiple floors of residential, retail, office and/or restaurants in one mixed-use project.

“The GTA tract represents a significant opportunity in downtown Greenville,” said Colliers Shareholder and broker, Frank Hammond. “Our goal is to identify the buyer who shares the vision of enhancing this area and will contribute to Greenville’s continued growth and success. Colliers looks forward to working closely with the Greenville Transit Authority and prospective purchasers to find the right fit for this location.
