The museum is traveling back in time to the 80’s in celebration of its 30th anniversary for the 5th annual Growl at the Moon Halloween party. From 7-10 p.m., guests will experience museum ghost tours, a new Pink Floyd full dome planetarium musical experience, night sky observing in the Boeing Observatory, 80’s music, food, craft beer and more. VIP ticket holders get all of the above plus access to the exclusive VIP lounge, specialty 80s cocktails and swag. General admission and VIP tickets can be purchased online at scmuseum.org and include a take-home custom beer growler. 80s themed costumes are highly encouraged!

The museum will end it’s Saturdays in Oz with a grand finale. The day will be filled with family friendly activities from scavenger hunts, hands-on and educational activities and Wizard of Oz characters on-site throughout the museum from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Pawmetto Lifeline will designate a rescue animal from their shelter to visit the State Museum and fill the role of “Toto” from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. This very special “Toto” will be available for adoption through Pawmetto Lifeline. Guests will also enjoy balloon animals, a costume contest, a scavenger hunt with prizes, games and more. Saturdays in Oz is free with general admission.
