Steven Halim is an Instructor in School of Computing, NationalUniversity of Singapore. NUS was placed 30th among the world’s top 200universities – and 4th in Asia based The Times Higher Education -Quacquarelli Symonds (THE-QS) World University Rankings.
The USA led the world in computer programming contest championships from the 70’s thru the 90’s, but we haven’t won since 1997. Why? Has computer science changed? Are we teaching the wrong things? Are developers from other countries better prepared?
Join us for our July Learning Lunch as we explore these ideas with Dr Steven Halim, a most successful programming coach from the National University of Singapore.
Dr. Halim will be coaching the Bob Jones University team as they prepare to compete in programming contests at the International Level and appears at our meeting by special arrangement.
