Gulie Moore joins Smith Robinson law firm

Gulie Moore has joined Smith Robinson law firm as an associate, practicing in the areas of medical malpractice defense and government liability.

Moore earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law in 2023, where she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for Interviewing, Counseling, and Negotiation. She also served as chairwoman for the First-Generation Law Students’ Association, a student translator for the South Carolina Bar Association’s “Ayuda” Translation Program, and a Court Appointed Special Advocate for the Richland County. Moore received her Bachelor’s degree in Law, Liberty and Justice from Clemson University in 2019, with an emphasis in Bioethics and a minor in Genetics.

After law school, she served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Judge Kristi Curtis, Chief Administrative Judge for the South Carolina Third Judicial Circuit. Moore joins Smith Robinson’s medical malpractice defense and government liability teams in her hometown of Sumter.

Moore volunteers as an advocate for foster and special needs children. She continues to serve as a Guardian ad Litem, representing the interests of neglected or abused children in the Family Court system. She has also served as a medical aide and coached recreational sports leagues for special needs students, with an emphasis on nonverbal students’ communication and motor skills.
