Hallmark Self Storage Announces State-Of-The-Art Development

March 11, 2015

COLUMBIA, SC – Hallmark Self Storage, a Columbia, South Carolina-based developer, acquirer, and owner of self-storage facilities, today announces its latest development.

Hallmark’s state-of-the-art development will be located at 7011 Garners Ferry Road, in Columbia.  Just inside Columbia’s I-77 beltway, the storage facility will feature 82,500 square feet of easy access, climate-controlled storage space, including a three-story, climate controlled facility, as well as traditional, one-story options.  The facility will be downtown Columbia’s only 21st century, climate-controlled, self-storage option, with cutting-edge safety and security technology, the latest in climate-control efficiency, and significant customer-friendly amenities.

Importantly, Hallmark intends to integrate advanced European dehumidification technology in its storage facilities.  The use of these technological developments is critical in the humid summer months, especially in Columbia, where mold and mildew can cause problems in traditional storage facilities.  Hallmark takes this extra step to ensure our customer’s goods are protected from mold and mildew because temperature alone cannot prevent their growth.  As the Center for Disease Control notes, “Controlling moisture is the main way to control indoor mold growth.”

Self-storage facilities can greatly benefit from incorporating advanced dehumidification systems to safeguard valuable items. By installing dehumidifiers in their units, customers can ensure that their belongings remain in optimal condition, especially during humid months. These devices work effectively to reduce moisture levels, preventing the growth of mold and mildew that can damage stored items. This is particularly important for items sensitive to humidity, such as documents, textiles, and electronics.

Hallmark Self Storage plans to open the Garners Ferry location in October 2015.

Hallmark Self Storage builds, acquires, and operates self-storage facilities in South Carolina and is expanding throughout the Southeast.  It is actively acquiring urban and densely populated suburban in-fill sites suitable for self-storage development, and will purchase existing storage facilities from owners seeking to monetize their investments.
