February 17, 2021

Hartness, a new 444-acre urban village founded by the Hartness family and located on Greenville’s Eastside, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lee Humrickhouse as director of Hartness Construction and Madison Lindsay-Smith as project coordinator. Humrickhouse will be responsible for supervising and leading the construction process, while Lindsay-Smith will help coordinate project objectives and deadlines. Hartness Construction was created to help meet demand and accelerate growth of Hartness and specializes in bringing Master Planner and Designer Lew Oliver’s innovative vision and home designs to life for buyers who prefer to purchase a move-in ready home.

“Lee’s experience in luxury homes will be a tremendous asset to Hartness Construction, and we are thrilled to welcome him to the team,” said Sean Hartness, CEO of Hartness Development and Hartness Construction. “Under his leadership, we are confident that our homes will continue to deliver exceptional quality, craftmanship and attention to detail, all of which are hallmarks of Hartness. We are also pleased to welcome Madison and look forward to her contributions to Hartness Construction.”

Humrickhouse brings decades of construction and management experience to Hartness Construction, most recently as owner of Humrickhouse Signature Homes. As owner and operator, he supervised and managed daily operations of the high-end, luxury homes business, which specializes in new construction, remodeling and renovations. Humrickhouse began his career by founding and operating a landscape irrigation company, and he moved into custom construction when he joined Raisor Custom Homes, where he served as project and field operations manager.
Lindsay-Smith is a graduate of Clemson University and also comes to Hartness Construction from Humrickhouse Signature Homes, where she brought efficiency and organization to day-to-day business operations.

Hartness Construction offers finely crafted homes that appeal to most any family by incorporating a thoughtful blend of homesites and homes of varying sizes and design all located throughout Hartness, which for three generations has welcomed friends and relatives of the Hartness family. The Hartness family long envisioned transforming their homestead into a community built to last for future generations, and the result is a vibrant village thoughtfully created in a traditional neighborhood design. More than a collection of beautiful homes, Hartness is a quaint, pedestrian-friendly community embracing authentic architecture, natural and built amenities, land preservation and a mixed-use village center.
