Holiday Home Tour tickets on sale to benefit Hispanic Alliance
November 11, 2024A local health charity has the perfect opportunity to put Upstate residents in the holiday spirit while also giving back to their neighbors.
Tickets are now on sale for The Alta Vista Homes for the Holiday Tour hosted by the Greenville County Medical Society Alliance (GCMSA), which is part a national non-profit organization of physician spouses who promote public health. The tour is set for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, and includes exclusive home tours, gourmet delights, and local art. Event proceeds will benefit the Hispanic Alliance, which unites agencies and individuals to advance Hispanic communities in the Upstate.
Six impeccably styled homes on McDaniel, Crescent, and Tindal avenues will open their doors to tour participants, who will also enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and signature drinks crafted by local Hispanic chefs. Hispanic artists will also display works reflecting the joy of the season.
Tickets are $125 per guest and may be purchased at https://www.gcmsa.org/holiday but are limited. Once sold out, a waitlist will be available. Proceeds will support the Hispanic Alliance’s Health Team by providing access to medical clinics as well as nutritional and health-education seminars for local Hispanic families and culture-focused outreach to healthcare providers.
Dr. Lauren Fontenot, who is the GCMSA president, began planning the tour after her home was featured as the 2023 holiday home for TALK magazine.
“We’re so grateful to the sponsors in the community that are making this event a possibility and, of course, to the homeowners who are graciously opening their homes for the tour,” Fontenot said. “Our sponsors and creative talents are pillars of the community, and this is just one way they are using their talents. We want this event to be a beautiful way to bring holiday spirit and cheer, while connecting two key groups within Greenville—the iconic Alta Visit neighborhood and the incredibly talented chefs, musicians, and artists of Greenville’s Hispanic community. It is our hope that this event will not only serve to raise much needed funds for community health clinics and classes for Hispanic families in Greenville, but it will also serve to foster a deeper connection within the Greenville community.”
