Horton Law Firm announces new partner

September 6, 2016

Horton Law Firm added Greenville attorney Andrew Arnold as a partner to its experienced lineup of lawyers.

For nearly 25 years, Arnold has covered a broad range of litigation matters with a focus on labor and employment law and business litigation. Arnold’s litigation experience includes representing individuals and small businesses, in both federal and state court, in cases involving unpaid compensation, wrongful discharge, non-compete agreements, breach of contract, trade secrets, shareholder oppression and wage and hour disputes. He also represents families in nursing home abuse and neglect cases.

An Upstate native, Arnold earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Furman University. Arnold was in the top 10 percent of his class at the University of South Carolina School of Law when he graduated in 1992. After spending two years at a management-side labor law firm, he started his own practice at the age of 26.

In six of the last seven years, Arnold has been named a Super Lawyer – an annual distinction held by only the top 5 percent of attorneys in each state. As an employment lawyer and litigator, he also has been recognized in The U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” rankings. Greenville Business Magazine has named him to its list of the Legal Elite. This year, he was recognized as Employment Litigator of the Year (for individuals) in Greenville County by U.S. New and World Report.

Arnold has been active in the community as well. He is former chairman of the Greenville Democratic Party and spent more than 10 years on the Greenville Housing Authority board with three years as the board chairman. He also served two years on the Greenville Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors and helped bring presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to Greenville during the 2008 election cycle as part of the Chamber’s Political Symposium. He is a graduate of Leadership Greenville’s Class 29.

“Andy is a well-respected and accomplished attorney here in the Upstate,” said Bo Campbell, a Horton Law Firm partner. “We are certain he will be a valuable addition to our team.”
