Hunter Suggs transitions from real estate management to brokerage; joins Colliers International’s office team in Columbia

September 6, 2017

On the surface, managing a commercial property and leasing or selling it are two very different sides to the commercial real estate industry, but Colliers International’s Hunter Suggs will now apply his understanding of the inner workings of office properties, gained from years as a property manager, to the benefit of commercial landlords, property owners and tenants in the Columbia office market. Now a Brokerage Associate, he has joined the office brokerage team in Colliers | South Carolina’s office in Columbia with a focus on landlord and owner representation services.

“As a property manager, Hunter has seen the day-to-day financial and physical management of commercial office buildings, seeing how the operations, maintenance and leasing of a building all affect the bottom line for owners,” said David Lockwood, Executive Vice President and COO. “His knowledge and expertise will be invaluable when it comes to assisting owners with leasing, selling and building position strategies to maximize the value of their assets.”

A graduate of Clemson University, Suggs has worked in commercial real estate since 1998 and gained experience in property and construction management. For the past seven years, he has been a property manager with Colliers | South Carolina’s Real Estate Management Services division, responsible for a portfolio of office and retail properties in South Carolina and Georgia. He maintains a South Carolina Broker’s License and is in the final stage of pursuing a CCIM designation through the Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute.
